Skychefs with over 75 years of Catering history is hiring immediately for Full-time team players to prepare product for our Airline, E-commerce, and Retail customers. We are the world's leading provider of end-to-end airline products and services with a fast-growing footprint in Convenience Retail and Subscriptions Food Service.

Must provide food safety and quality, good customer service, clean environment and a welcoming atmosphere.

Must follow food preparation instructions and serve all food and beverages according to company policies.

Must maintain neat appearances and personal hygiene (fresh uniform, safety shoes. Groomed, wearing hairnet and beard guard if applicable, no jewelry, wash hands and change gloves frequently).

Arrange food and beverages on steam tables, maintain food warmer and refrigerator to ensure rotation (FIFO), expiration control, proper covering (wrap) and date marking of all foods.

Maintain Food Safety handling procedures and sanitation practices (keep hot food hot at 140*F or above and cold food items at 41*F or below, takes temperature of food items with Probe Thermometer, maintains chemical dispensers and back-up inventory.

Operate with basic cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, conduct chemical solution testing's with ppm test strips.

Clean and sanitize serving areas, steam tables, food warmer, cold wells, counter tops, pass-through, refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine, soda machine, milk dispenser, cereal dispensers, ice machine. Clean utensils, storage equipment, racks, shelves, containers and bins. Clean cafeteria tables and chairs, empty and clean garbage bins regularly, sweep and mop floors. Replenish food, coffee, beverages, napkins, utensils, condiments, plates, cups.

Must demonstrate customer service skills to all cafeteria patrons.

Must be able to multitask, able to operate different types of cafeteria equipment.

Must maintain sanitation standards in accordance with Company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations. Complete other duties as assigned by Management.

Must successfully PASS the California Food Handler Certification.

Must be able to read and write English. Must have good attendance record.

Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to work flexible hours. Must be able to walk/stoop/bend/stand for entire shift

Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment.

Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push in excess of 70 lbs.

Must be able to work around moving parts & wet floors

Must be able to work a hot and cold environment

Additional eligibility requirements and details:

This is a Union Position - must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days

Must be available to work a full-time position, including weekends and holidays as needed

Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English

Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently. Bend/stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8 - 12 hours day
