Job Description

Lifecycle Marketing Contractor (Acquisition + Retention)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Contractor (Acquisition + Retention) in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing, CRM, and lifecycle strategy for a fast-moving Shopify-based e-commerce environment. You will own the full customer journey, from paid acquisition through retention and re-engagement, with a strong focus on improving customer lifetime value and marketing efficiency. The position is highly hands-on, requiring someone who can independently build campaigns, optimize funnels, and turn performance data into actionable growth experiments. You will manage both paid media and lifecycle programs, ensuring tight alignment between acquisition and retention strategies. Working across Shopify, paid channels, and CRM tools, you will directly influence revenue growth, conversion performance, and repeat purchase behavior. This is a high-ownership contract role ideal for a marketer who thrives in execution, speed, and data-driven decision-making.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own and optimize the full-funnel marketing ecosystem, driving both customer acquisition and long-term retention through data-led execution.

  • Develop and optimize paid acquisition strategies across key channels, with a primary focus on Meta Ads and Google Ads (including Shopping and Performance Max campaigns).
  • Build and scale conversion-focused funnels tied to Shopify product and collection pages, ensuring strong alignment between ads, landing pages, and onsite experience.
  • Manage product feeds, dynamic product ads, and catalog configurations within Shopify and advertising platforms.
  • Analyze acquisition performance across CPA, CAC, conversion rates, and customer quality metrics such as LTV, AOV, and repeat purchase rate.
  • Own lifecycle marketing across email and SMS, building and optimizing automated flows in Klaviyo integrated with Shopify customer and product data.
  • Design segmentation strategies based on behavioral, transactional, and lifecycle data to improve personalization and retention outcomes.
  • Monitor full-funnel performance across acquisition and retention channels, identifying friction points and translating insights into actionable growth experiments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve landing pages, product pages, offers, and on-site messaging using Shopify and supporting tools.
Requirements:

You bring strong hands-on experience in e-commerce growth marketing, with proven ability to manage both acquisition and retention programs in Shopify environments.

  • 3–6+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, growth marketing, or performance marketing for e-commerce or DTC brands.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Shopify, including managing products, collections, discounts, customer segmentation, and basic store configuration.
  • Proven expertise in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns).
  • Deep experience with Klaviyo email and SMS marketing, including Shopify integration and automated flow development.
  • Strong track record of building and optimizing acquisition and retention campaigns that improve CLTV and revenue performance.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting funnel data, cohort performance, and attribution models across multiple channels.
  • Ability to operate independently as a contractor, including prioritization, execution, and delivery without heavy oversight.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce lifecycle marketing, segmentation strategies, and customer journey optimization.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with subscription tools (Recharge, Skio, Loop) or SMS platforms beyond Klaviyo (Postscript, Attentive).
  • Familiarity with CRO, analytics, or attribution tools such as Triple Whale, Northbeam, or Polar Analytics.
  • Exposure to A/B testing frameworks and post-iOS attribution challenges.
  • Basic understanding of Shopify Liquid, HTML, or theme customization.
  • Experience scaling DTC brands through high-growth phases ($1M to $10M+ ARR).
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $60 to $75 USD per hour, depending on experience and location.
  • Fully remote contract engagement with flexible working arrangements (EST preferred).
  • Initial 3–6 month contract with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
  • Opportunity to work across high-impact acquisition and retention initiatives in a fast-scaling e-commerce environment.
  • Exposure to modern e-commerce growth stacks including Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Klaviyo.
  • Autonomy and ownership in shaping lifecycle and performance marketing strategy.
  • Transparent compensation structure aligned with skills, experience, and market conditions.
