Position Summary:
NRE seeks an experienced, results-driven Contracts Specialist to join our team at New River Electrical Company.
As a Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the life-cycle contract process for consulting services supporting both the company and the company’s clients from simple to complex business deals. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, make strategic decisions and implement best practices within our procurement and contracting function.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and lead negotiations on a variety of contracts, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters to the project team, highlighting any potential risks or issues.
- Manage contract execution processes and ensure all contracts are correctly implemented and adhered to.
- Conduct regular contract reviews and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and legal advisors, to ensure smooth contract processes.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry trends that may impact contracts.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on contract processes and best practices.
- Resolves any contract-related disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management or equivalent and relevant experience in legal, procurement, sourcing, and risk management.
- Advanced knowledge in structuring goods & services contracts.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Contract Management or a related field preferred.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex contractual terms and conditions with high attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and devise effective solutions.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in contract management software (e.g. Agiloft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to translate the business deal to contract terms and conditions.
Travel
There may be occasional limited travel for off-site meetings, events, or other business matters.
