Job Summary:
The QIDP Assistant is responsible for performing quality assurance activities in regard to active treatment documentation utilizing a person-centered approach to assist individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for independence. This position assures that all documentation provided by each service provider is documented in accordance with federal and state guidelines and the policies of the facility. This position will observe, support, and train the staff on documenting formal programs which will ensure the ongoing appropriateness and compliance of active treatment as well as assist with active treatment programs, activities at outings, and the personal care of individuals served as needed. This position is a vital link between staff and departments involved in the care, programming, and activities of individuals served. The ability to work with various positions and departments in a team environment is important.
Responsibilities:
- Develop policies and procedures in alignment with the ministry's mission.
- Nurture a positive environment for individuals to achieve their goals and dreams.
- Assemble, monitor, and distribute program books monthly.
- Orient and train staff on proper documentation guidelines.
- Implement program changes and distribute programs monthly.
- Assist in active treatment and program activities.
- Support compliance, regulatory audits, and safety initiatives.
- Perform other duties as necessary to meet individual needs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Two years' experience in the Developmental Disability field.
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications 3 months of hire.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations preferred.
- Ability to work professionally and compassionately with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, insurable drivers record according to the Echoing Hills Village insurance carriers, and have reliable transportation to travel for business meetings, community meetings, training events, vendors, and suppliers, etc.
- A demonstrated Christian background and a demonstrated ability to fulfill the mission and purpose of the Ministry.
