Strategic Account Manager, CVS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Account Manager, CVS based in the United States.

This role is focused on driving strategic growth and deepening commercial performance within a key national retail account in the consumer health space. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for building and managing a strong partnership with a major customer while delivering sustainable sales growth across a portfolio of leading health and wellness brands. You will develop and execute joint business plans, optimize promotional strategies, and ensure alignment between customer objectives and internal commercial priorities. The role requires strong analytical capability to interpret market data, track performance, and translate insights into actionable strategies. Working cross-functionally with category management, sales strategy, and internal stakeholders, you will help bring innovation to market and strengthen account performance. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on revenue growth, customer relationships, and overall market success.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders to drive account performance, long-term partnership value, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and execute joint business plans in collaboration with Sales Strategy and Category Management to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer data to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead execution of promotional strategies and ensure alignment between customer priorities and internal business objectives.
  • Manage trade spend, promotional budgets, and investment strategies to maximize return on investment and profitability.
  • Support forecasting, performance tracking, and goal setting while delivering clear insights and updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, and sales to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to enhance decision-making and improve account performance.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer health, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or related sales/account management roles.
  • Strong track record of managing key retail or national accounts, preferably in drug retail or large-scale customer environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and clearly convey business insights.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and execution excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with analytics tools such as IRI or similar platforms.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams such as marketing, supply chain, and category management.
  • Demonstrated ability or openness to using digital tools and AI-enabled technologies to support analysis and decision-making.

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $135,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
