Position Overview
Our Foster Parent Recruiter ensures a pool of available local foster parents ready to care for children when the call comes.
- Create awareness of the need for local foster parents via paid and unpaid advertising, and by representing KidsPeace in community-based activities and events to create visibility about foster care
- Recruit, interview, and evaluate foster parent candidates according to state and KidsPeace requirements.
- Participate in training efforts to teach those parents the skills and knowledge about the foster care system and the children we serve
- Support foster parent recognition, retention and satisfaction through various office and community events
- Fundraise and create awareness of the ongoing need of resources and supports for local foster youth

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services degree required;
- Prior experience in foster care, adoption, or other family serving systems preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Computer skills
- Valid Driver’s license and registered vehicle-able to work independently in the field
- Must be 21
