Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Head of AI Operating System in United States.
This is a highly strategic, hands-on executive role responsible for designing and building an internal Agentic AI Operating System that transforms how a modern SaaS organization operates. You will work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to architect an AI-native operating model that connects data, systems, and workflows across every business function. The role blends executive leadership with deep technical execution, requiring the ability to move seamlessly from board-level strategy discussions to hands-on system design and rapid prototyping. You will lead cross-functional “AI champions” embedded across the organization to identify, build, and scale high-impact automation opportunities. Success in this role directly translates into measurable EBITDA growth, operational efficiency, and improved customer experience. This is a rare opportunity to define how an entire company operates in the age of agentic AI.
- Lead the design and execution of an enterprise-wide Agentic AI Operating System spanning all non-product business functions.
- Partner with executive leadership to define AI strategy, prioritize initiatives, and ensure strong alignment on ROI-driven outcomes.
- Build and scale a semantic and data layer that connects core systems (CRM, support, finance, collaboration tools) into an agent-ready architecture.
- Develop and deploy agentic workflows leveraging frontier models to automate and enhance operational processes.
- Establish AI governance frameworks, including security, compliance (e.g., HIPAA), procurement, and lifecycle management of AI tools.
- Drive cross-functional execution through an AI champions network embedded across departments.
- Define and track measurable business impact, including EBITDA contribution and customer experience improvements.
- 6–10 years of experience combining AI/ML engineering, technical product or platform work, consulting, or high-performance SaaS operating roles.
- Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI systems using frontier models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini or open-source LLMs).
- Strong understanding of agentic architectures, tool use, evaluation systems, observability, and LLM safety practices.
- Experience integrating AI systems with enterprise tools such as CRM, support platforms, communication tools, or finance systems.
- Ability to design semantic layers, retrieval systems, and data pipelines that support reliable AI decision-making.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technical work to EBITDA, ROI, and operational performance metrics.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence without formal authority.
- Highly hands-on, with a builder mindset and the ability to ship quickly in fast-moving environments.
- Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus (target 35–40% of base, with upside based on impact).
- Total compensation package including equity/long-term incentive opportunities.
- Fully remote-first work environment with flexibility across the United States.
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Retirement savings plan (401k) with employer participation.
- Opportunity to shape a foundational AI transformation initiative at the enterprise level.
- High-impact executive role with direct exposure to CEO and board-level strategy.
