Board-Certified Neurologist – Long-Term Contract Opportunity(Salary 300k+ annually)
General Summary:
A Board-Certified Neurologist provides specialized neurological care to patients in the long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting. The Neurologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex neurological conditions and collaborate closely with RML's multidisciplinary care team to support comprehensive, patient-centered care. The Neurologist will care for patients in an LTACH environment who may have complex medical and neurological needs, including patients requiring continued hospital-level care following critical illness or other serious medical conditions. This position provides an opportunity for a neurologist to practice in a specialized hospital environment while helping patients with medically complex conditions achieve optimal outcomes.

Compensation: Pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-specific requirements, individual experience, internal pay equity, and organizational needs/budget considerations, all in alignment with our RML's compensation philosophy. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program based on both individual and organizational performance.
General Summary:

The Neurologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex neurological conditions and collaborate closely with RML's multidisciplinary care team to support comprehensive, patient-centered care. The Neurologist will care for patients in an LTACH environment who may have complex medical and neurological needs, including patients requiring continued hospital-level care following critical illness or other serious medical conditions. This position provides an opportunity for a neurologist to practice in a specialized hospital environment while helping patients with medically complex conditions achieve optimal outcomes.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:Supports the Mission and Vision of RML Specialty Hospital by demonstrating RML’s Core Values of Services, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Stewardship (STAIRS) in all actions. Promotes a positive patient/customer experience by exemplifying the principles of the Language of Caring in all interactions with patients, families and coworkers.
Evaluate and diagnose patients with neurological disorders and conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and neuromuscular system.Provide neurological consultations and ongoing management for medically complex LTACH patients.Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans based on the patient's medical history, clinical presentation, and diagnostic findings.Monitor patients' neurological status and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.Order, review, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies and neurological or imaging studies.Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, rehabilitation professionals, nursing staff, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding neurological diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prognosis, and ongoing care.Provide recommendations regarding medications, therapies, diagnostic evaluations, and appropriate specialty follow-up.Communicate and collaborate with other specialists and consulting physicians when additional evaluation or treatment is indicated.Document assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely within the electronic medical record.Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary discussions as appropriate.Support continuity of neurological care throughout the patient's RML stay and facilitate appropriate transition of care when indicated.Practice in accordance with applicable hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.Maintain current knowledge of advances in neurology and evidence-based approaches to the care of medically complex patients.
