Schedule: Monday - Thursday, alternating Friday & Saturday

We're looking for a compassionate, organized, and motivated Student Loan Advisor to help our graduates successfully manage their student loans and avoid default.

What You'll DoAs the Student Loan Advisor, you'll serve as a trusted resource for current students and graduates by providing guidance, education, and support throughout the student loan repayment process. You'll play a key role in helping students understand their repayment options while supporting the school's compliance with federal default management requirements.
Responsibilities include:- Conduct entrance and exit loan counseling for students.
- Monitor student loan default rates and support compliance with federal regulations.
- Maintain ongoing communication with graduates during the federal default tracking period.
- Assist current and former students in understanding repayment options, including deferment, forbearance, and other default prevention solutions.
- Conduct financial literacy, budgeting, and student loan education workshops.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to default prevention activities.
- Update and maintain student records and contact information.
- Serve as a liaison between students, loan servicers, lenders, and guaranty agencies.
- Perform skip tracing activities to locate borrowers when necessary.
- Provide backup support to the Financial Aid Department during peak periods or staff absences.
- Assist with tuition reimbursement plans and other student account matters.
- Stay current on federal regulations and best practices related to student loan repayment and default prevention.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in credit, collections, financial aid, or a related field.
- Some post-secondary education or relevant professional training preferred.
