This role is focused on defining and driving go-to-market strategy for public sector audiences, including Federal, State, Local, and Education (SLED) organizations. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will shape positioning, messaging, and narrative strategy to help government IT buyers understand and adopt modern IT management solutions. You will act as the voice of the public sector market internally, translating complex technical capabilities into clear, mission-driven value propositions. The role requires strong collaboration across product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment across campaigns, launches, and enablement initiatives. You will also play a key role in influencing pipeline growth and revenue impact through strategic storytelling and targeted messaging. This position blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment. It is ideal for someone passionate about public sector innovation and impactful technology adoption.
- Own and drive public sector go-to-market strategy across Federal, State, Local, and Education segments, ensuring strong positioning and messaging alignment.
- Develop deep buyer and persona insights, including procurement dynamics, compliance requirements, and agency-specific IT challenges.
- Translate technical product capabilities into differentiated, value-driven messaging tailored to government IT environments.
- Lead messaging strategy for product launches, campaigns, and public sector-specific initiatives in collaboration with product and marketing teams.
- Create and maintain sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, battlecards, case studies, and RFP/RFI frameworks.
- Support sales teams with training and tools to effectively communicate value within complex government procurement cycles.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including content, webinars, events, and industry engagements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to track performance, refine messaging, and optimize public sector pipeline impact.
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing within B2B software, IT management, or public sector technology environments.
- Strong understanding of public sector buying processes, procurement frameworks, compliance standards, and government IT stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop compelling go-to-market strategies and translate technical concepts into clear, impactful messaging.
- Experience working closely with sales enablement, demand generation, product, and cross-functional marketing teams.
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills with the ability to influence executive and technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with experience using market insights and data to drive strategic decisions.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Confluence, Highspot, Asana, and related GTM platforms.
- Bonus: experience with FedRAMP, CMMC, or security clearance environments.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $185,000 depending on location and experience.
