Summary/Objective

The Engineering Project Coordinator is responsible for managing engineering project schedules, tracking engineering order due dates, and ensuring timely completion of all engineering deliverables for liquid-filled transformer projects. This role serves as the central coordination point between engineering, manufacturing, sales, and project management to maintain schedule visibility, prioritize workload, and prevent delays affecting production and customer commitments.

Essential Functions

· Maintain and manage the master schedule for all engineering orders, including new designs, revisions, and engineering change activities.

· Track engineering project status from order release through engineering completion and manufacturing handoff.

· Coordinate engineering workload scheduling across mechanical, electrical, and design engineering teams.

· Monitor due dates and proactively identify risks to schedule adherence.

· Conduct regular project status reviews with engineering leads and management.

· Ensure engineering deliverables (drawings, BOMs, calculations, approvals, documentation) are completed on schedule.

· Serve as liaison between Engineering, Sales, Production Planning, and Operations regarding project timelines.

· Support prioritization of engineering activities based on production needs and customer delivery commitments.

· Track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure implementation timelines align with project schedules.

· Maintain project tracking tools within ERP, PLM, or project management systems.

· Generate weekly and monthly reports showing engineering backlog, completion rates, and schedule performance.

· Identify process gaps and recommend workflow improvements to increase engineering throughput.

· Assist Engineering Management with resource planning and capacity forecasting.

Competencies

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field preferred.

· 3+ years of experience in engineering coordination, project coordination, or manufacturing project management.

· Experience in transformer manufacturing, power equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred.

· Strong organizational and scheduling skills with high attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple concurrent engineering projects.

· Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
