This role sits at the heart of in-line pipeline inspection operations within the oil and gas sector, combining hands-on technical fieldwork with precise operational coordination in complex industrial environments. You will be responsible for executing inspection and maintenance activities that ensure the integrity, safety, and performance of critical pipeline infrastructure. Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, you will contribute directly to the success of large-scale inspection projects across Europe and beyond. The position requires strong technical discipline, adaptability, and the ability to perform under dynamic field conditions. You will interpret technical documentation, operate specialized inspection tools, and ensure all procedures meet strict QA/QC and industry standards. This is a highly operational role for professionals who enjoy field-based work, problem-solving in real time, and contributing to mission-critical energy infrastructure projects
- Prepare, complete, and submit operational and technical field reports, including pigging, daily, and project-specific documentation.
- Coordinate and discuss equipment, tools, and auxiliary systems required for field operations, ensuring full readiness for execution.
- Review and analyze project documentation, including operational manuals, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Execute in-line inspection (ILI) and pigging activities in accordance with QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Conduct cleaning runs, site surveys, and DGPS surveys following established operational requirements and technical criteria.
- Coordinate field activities between internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure successful inspection runs with no data loss, adhering to applicable industry standards and internal methodologies.
- Maintain professional communication with client site personnel and support effective on-site collaboration.
- Support the Team Leader in additional operational tasks as required by the project scope.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Technician or in a similar EPC or oil & gas field-based role.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, ideally with exposure to in-line inspection (ILI) operations.
- Strong understanding of field operations, pipeline systems, and industrial safety procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, operational manuals, and engineering procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
- Strong physical capability, including ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in demanding field environments.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including international assignments, and work flexible hours based on project needs.
- Strong teamwork, discipline, and self-motivation with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional field teams.
