Job Description

Sr. Project Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Project Manager in United States.

Join a fast-paced and highly technical environment where you will lead critical fiber infrastructure and outside plant network projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for an experienced project management professional with deep expertise in fiber-optic deployments, data center infrastructure, and field operations. You will oversee large-scale network implementations, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across multiple concurrent initiatives. The position offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members, contribute strategic technical guidance, and play a key role in maintaining high-performance communication networks. Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational abilities, and a hands-on approach to complex technical operations. You’ll thrive in a collaborative culture that values expertise, accountability, and continuous professional growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage complex fiber-optic and outside plant network projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and oversee project plans, scopes of work (SOW), bills of materials (BOM), scheduling, procurement coordination, and resource allocation for multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Supervise daily fiber splicing, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct site walks, QA inspections, project reviews, and status meetings to validate execution quality, project profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers to align expectations, resolve technical issues, and maintain clear communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on fiber infrastructure, network connectivity solutions, and data center environments while supporting emergency maintenance and outage response when needed.
  • Mentor and support less experienced project managers, helping strengthen project execution standards and team development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing and maintaining fiber networks, or 5+ years combined with a PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Strong background in outside plant fiber engineering, fiber splicing, testing procedures, and large-scale communications infrastructure deployments.
  • Advanced understanding of fiber-optic cabling systems, splice enclosures, testing equipment, network design drawings, and construction documentation.
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints, engineer packages, and technical schematics while accurately estimating labor, materials, and project requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously in demanding operational environments with a strong focus on quality delivery and customer service.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and PowerPoint; familiarity with Visio, Bluebeam Revu, or Revit is considered an advantage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver’s license required.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance options for additional financial protection.
  • Retirement savings plans to support long-term financial goals.
  • Structured onboarding and professional training programs designed to support career advancement.
  • Opportunity to work in advanced technology environments with high-impact infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborative and growth-oriented workplace culture with strong leadership support.
  • Exposure to challenging and rewarding large-scale fiber network initiatives.
  • Equal opportunity workplace committed to diversity, inclusion, and professional respect.
