JOB SUMMARY:

The Warranty Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate filling, tracking and reporting of all warranty claims. This position works with warranty manufactures to secure approval and ensure all SRT’s are being followed for any and all claims belonging to parts and service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Primary Responsibility, Scope of Work, KPI Management, complexity: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Create and submit warranty and policy claims with manufacturers daily.
  • Manage Warranty Recall & Service bulletins per mfg.
  • File claims within 48 hours after completion of repairs.
  • Set up pre-approval claims as needed per manufacturer.
  • Publish all manufacturer recalls onto shared server and inform service department of updates.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly tracking reporting detail on warranty claim submissions.
  • Work with parts department to ensure timely and proper return of all warranty parts to the manufacturer.
  • Follow up with return defective parts to vendors/manufacturers to ensure payment reimbursement of claim.
  • Implement and maintain warranty processes necessary is being followed per manufacturer guidelines and internal training with staff.
  • Track reoccurring issues or concerns and provide to the manufacturer and communicate with staff.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Submitting claim within 48hrs
  • Warranty capture rate 90-95% or above
  • Warranty aging under 3% over 90 days +

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

Some travel is expected for this position.

Requirements:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (Please describe what is required for satisfactory job performance in each category.)

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree
  • 2-3 years’ experience related to warranty administration
  • Familiarity with OEM warranty policies and procedures (Cummins, Blue Bird, Collins, Forest River, Arboc, Glaval, and Wheel Chair Lift Manufacturers)
  • Basic accounting/computer skills
  • Microsoft Office -Word and Excel proficiency

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge or experience in automotive or truck industry
  • Karmak Fusion experience
