The Corporate Director of Food & Beverage serves as a strategic and operational leader supporting Food & Beverage operations across the Makeready portfolio, with a significant focus on beverage strategy, portfolio standards, financial performance, training, and operational execution.

This role partners closely with property leadership to strengthen operational consistency, improve profitability, elevate service standards, and enhance the overall guest experience across restaurants, bars, lounges, catering, banquets, and in-room dining operations.

A key responsibility of this position is leading beverage strategy across the portfolio, including ownership of the Core Beverage Program, implementation of beverage operating standards, beverage cost and inventory management, vendor partnerships, and the continued rollout and adoption of Bevager across Makeready properties.

Requested Tasks

• Support Food & Beverage operations across the Makeready portfolio, providing strategic guidance, operational leadership, and hands-on support to property teams.
• Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, service culture, operational procedures, and Food & Beverage best practices.
• Support restaurant, bar, lounge, banquet, catering, and in-room dining operations to drive quality, efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
• Conduct regular property visits and operational assessments to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and support improvement initiatives.
• Review workflows, staffing models, service standards, menu execution, operating procedures, and productivity to identify opportunities for stronger performance.
• Provide Task Force leadership and operational support as needed, including during leadership transitions, performance recovery, openings, renovations, and critical business needs.
• Oversee beverage strategy and portfolio-wide beverage standards across Makeready properties.
• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the Makeready Core Beverage Program.
• Establish and reinforce standards for cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, and other beverage offerings.
• Partner with property Food & Beverage leaders to ensure beverage programs complement each hotel’s positioning, concept, market, and guest experience.
• Evaluate beverage menus, product mix, pricing, presentation, preparation, and service standards to ensure creativity, consistency, and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to increase beverage revenue through menu engineering, pricing strategies, seasonal programming, promotions, activations, and upselling.
• Stay current on beverage trends, emerging products, bar concepts, consumer preferences, and industry practices and identify opportunities for portfolio implementation.
• Support development of signature cocktails, beverage experiences, and programming that differentiate individual properties while remaining aligned with portfolio standards.
• Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Requested Capabilities

• Significant Food & Beverage leadership experience within luxury, lifestyle, independent, or upper-upscale hospitality environments.
• Previous experience as a Corporate Director, Regional Director, Multi-Property Food & Beverage leader, Director of Food & Beverage, or comparable senior operational leader.
• Demonstrated expertise in beverage and bar operations, including beverage program development, cocktail strategy, wine and spirits, purchasing, inventory management, cost controls, menu engineering, and profitability.
• Proven success supporting multi-property Food & Beverage operations including restaurants, bars, lounges, banquets, and catering.
• Strong understanding of beverage costs, inventory management, financial controls, purchasing, and operational reporting.
• Experience implementing or managing beverage inventory and cost-control systems; Bevager experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of beverage trends, bar culture, spirits, wine, beer, non-alcoholic programming, and evolving consumer preferences.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and operational performance and translate data into actionable strategies.
• Strong knowledge of P&L management, beverage cost, food cost, labor productivity, inventory controls, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience supporting new openings, concept launches, renovations, or operational transitions preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop Food & Beverage leaders and teams.
• Creative and innovative mindset balanced by strong operational and financial discipline.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
• Highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a decentralized, multi-property environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to travel up to 30–40% to support property visits and new openings.
• Familiarity with hotel management agreements, franchise agreements, and hotel ownership structures preferred.
• Experience evaluating independent, lifestyle, luxury, branded, and/or full-service hotels preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
