Description:

Taxing Authority Consulting Services, P.C. is a Virginia law firm with a focus in its practice to serve only government entities in managing accounts receivable, tax assessments, and the general revenue cycle. Our firm’s extensive experience in collection, bankruptcy, and assessment matters offers our clients full-service representation related to their receivables.

Requirements:

Summary of Role:

The Real Estate Litigation Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to seven attorneys and fourteen real estate litigation specialists in the real estate litigation department of Taxing Authority Consulting Services, a law firm that provides tax collection services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Copying, printing, and mailing of correspondence and filings with the courts, and other parties.

· Data entry and processing of vendor invoices to ensure timely payment.

· Organization and maintenance of electronic and paper files related to real estate litigation.

· Light legal research, document drafting, and proofreading as needed.

· Management of supply needs within the real estate litigation department.

· Handling incoming and outgoing mail and managing calendars.

· Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and legal environments.

· Ability to multi-task effectively.

Qualifications:

· Previous work experience in a fast-paced legal environment.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED; associate’s degree in business, Legal studies or related area a plus.

· At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within a legal or real estate environment.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
