Job Purpose:
Our Centralized Part Counter Representative will assist our internal Body Shop Managers, Assistant Managers,and Advisors with part number look up and price quoting for estimating Wreck Repairs to customers. With opportunities from Entry Level to Experienced, this role is designed for a motivated and career-minded individual who wants the potential to earn more with the increase of knowledge and responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service for our Body Shop parts business.
- Greet customers and assist in parts selection.
- Provide after market parts solutions when required by insurance companies
- Answer questions, provide price quotes, inform of companion part requirements and specials in-person, over the phone, and through email and Decisive Notes platforms.
- Include all fasteners, clips, moldings, and adhesives required with part replacement
- Keep customers informed on the status of special order and back-order parts.
- Update part numbers and pricing in Mitchell Truck Estimating software system
- Receive, locate, bill and fulfill orders.
- Process interbranch requests to the correct Branch Library.
- Process CRS requests and order requirements for Wreck repair parts through Paccar.
- Handle customer returns.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our Body Shop departments.
- Assist technicians with acquiring parts.
- Locate and secure parts from various vendors for shop jobs.
- Work with Warehouse coordinators for shipping interbranch orders to designated Body Shops
- Help control and maintain inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Greater than 3 years of counter experience
- Able to work alone
- Understands all basic truck systems
- Able to use Business System for daily tasks
- Ability to generate parts list from photos of damage and lists provided by estimators
- Understands all-makes – can identify common commodity parts
- Able to use all E-Portal programs
- Able to intelligently talk to customers
- Able to perform cycle-counts accurately
- Able to order and check-in parts orders
- Participated in Advanced Training
- Able to assist PM with some admin duties
- Cross-trained and able to fill in at all parts positions
- Able to train new hires
- High School or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Automotive or truck parts related experience a plus
- Intermediate Computer skills
Physical and mental demands:
Continuous: Simple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation, vision and talking or hearing.
Frequent: Sit, stand, use a phone, personal computer, copier, and printer/scanners.
Occasional: Bend, walk, reach, lift/carry up to 50lbs
Infrequent: Squatting, kneeling, crawling or laying on one’s back, pushing, pulling, climbing or balancing, driving and lifting or carrying up to 100lbs
