You will work across engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, and project teams to resolve issues and maintain delivery momentum.
The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence engineering execution across multiple interconnected systems.
You will also contribute to quality assurance, technical reviews, risk identification, and the development of less-experienced engineers.

Accountabilities
  • Lead system-level engineering and integrated design execution within delegated technical authority, coordinating contributions from systems and discipline engineers.

  • Coordinate engineering deliverables across disciplines and follow up on drawings, specifications, data sheets, equipment lists, and other technical documentation.
  • Identify, track, and resolve cross-system interface requirements, escalating gaps, inconsistencies, missing inputs, and execution risks when necessary.
  • Coordinate engineering activities between disciplines and with Procurement and Construction to ensure efficient technical information flow.
  • Support preparation and compilation of technical input packages, including RFI/RFP materials, and follow up on documentation required for procurement.
  • Track vendor data submissions, reviews, technical clarifications, action items, outstanding issues, and overall engineering deliverable status.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are reviewed, circulated, issued, and maintained accurately, completely, and on schedule.
  • Perform technical checking and quality reviews to ensure design media meets applicable policies, procedures, client expectations, and quality standards.
  • Prepare project reporting and documentation while highlighting delays, risks, coordination issues, and corrective actions required to maintain progress.
  • Mentor junior engineering colleagues and provide guidance on technical practices, quality expectations, and effective project execution.
  • Work independently within a multidisciplinary, matrixed project environment and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project engineering, project controls, or a closely related engineering project role.
  • Previous experience within the nuclear industry is required, with exposure to multidisciplinary industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects strongly valued.
  • Strong understanding of engineering project workflows, multidisciplinary design execution, and process systems design.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation, deliverable registers, technical reviews, and progress tracking.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple engineering inputs and deliverables while maintaining accuracy, completeness, and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, communication, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary and matrix organization and collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of independence and minimal guidance while making a meaningful impact across multiple functional activities.
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and share engineering best practices with colleagues.
  • Must be eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810(e) and must be a U.S. citizen.
Benefits
  • Expected annual compensation of $90,000–$150,000, depending on skills, experience, and geographic location.
