RRT - PRN in Glennville, Georgia at Glenvue Health and Rehab LLC

Glenvue is seeking a PRN-RRT to focus on weekends with possible occasional weekday cover in a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Glennville, GA.

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct physical examinations and diagnostic tests to evaluate lung capacity and blood gas levels.
• Treatment Administration: Provide respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Ventilator Management: Connect and monitor patients on mechanical ventilators.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on respiratory treatments, equipment usage, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Emergency Care: Provide emergency respiratory care in critical situations.
• Collaboration: Work with doctors and nurses to develop and modify patient treatment plans.
• Specimen Collection: Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Certification: Credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and CPR certification.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience: Experience requirements may vary, but certification and/or licensing in the specialty is essential.
