Who You Are

We are seeking a Program Team Leader (PTL), Vice President to serve as the strategic and operational leader for BBOT’s clinical development programs. Reporting to the Chief Medical & Development Officer, the PTL will have high-level accountability for the delivery of business objectives and portfolio value across the full product lifecycle. This is a visionary leadership role for an entrepreneurial scientist-executive who excels at leading cross-functional teams as the program leader, driving ambitious but deliverable product strategies, and building credibility with internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels. The PTL will be instrumental in advancing BBOT’s mission to deliver transformative oncology therapies to patients.

Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Lead the cross-functional program team (core team and sub-teams) to define, refine, and execute the integrated global product strategy across the full development lifecycle—from early-phase through initial approval, launch, and lifecycle indications
  • Serve as the primary accountable leader for program delivery, ensuring milestones, timelines, and budget targets are met; proactively identify risks and lead the team in developing and executing mitigation strategies
  • Drive ambitious and deliverable product strategy by identifying and maximizing opportunities for the program; coalesce diverse internal and external stakeholder perspectives to inform key decisions and align the organization
  • Ensure appropriate governance and compliance across all program activities; protect BBOT’s rights, data, and intellectual property throughout the development and commercialization lifecycle
  • Represent the program in interactions with BBOT senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders; provide clear, compelling updates on program status, strategy, and value creation

Cross-Functional Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, and inspire high-performing cross-functional program teams spanning Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Translational Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology, CMC, and other relevant functions
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, scientific rigor, and entrepreneurial problem-solving within the program team; ensure team members are aligned, motivated, and empowered to deliver
  • Lead integrated program planning across all functions, ensuring clear ownership, dependencies, and resource alignment for all program-critical activities
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation and decision-making authority for cross-functional program issues; facilitate rapid, well-reasoned decisions to maintain program momentum

Scientific and Clinical Strategy

  • Provide strategic scientific and clinical leadership for assigned programs, including input into clinical development plans, protocol design, patient selection strategies, biomarker integration, and data interpretation
  • Translate emerging clinical and scientific data into strategic insights that shape program direction; lead data review meetings and ensure findings are rapidly and accurately communicated to internal and external stakeholders
  • Champion the integration of precision medicine and biomarker strategies into program development plans, partnering closely with Translational Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key external oncology opinion leaders, academic collaborators, investigators, cooperative groups, and patient advocacy organizations to strengthen BBOT’s scientific position and program execution

Regulatory and Commercial Alignment

  • Serve as the program-level strategic interface with Regulatory Affairs to shape global regulatory strategy and ensure consistent, proactive engagement with FDA, EMA, and other global health authorities
  • Ensure program strategies are informed by deep understanding of the competitive landscape, payer environment, and commercial opportunity; integrate commercial insights and market research into development planning
  • Support and contribute to regulatory submissions, health authority meetings, and interactions with investigators and advisory committees as the senior scientific and strategic program representative
