This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Civil/Structural Construction Specialist -- Field Assignment based in United States.

The role involves leading civil and structural construction activities on complex field projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
You will oversee site operations, monitor progress, and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

The Lead Civil/Structural Construction Specialist will oversee field construction activities, ensuring projects are executed according to engineering requirements, safety standards, and contractual expectations. The role requires strong coordination skills, technical judgment, and proactive problem-solving to support successful project delivery.

  • Manage and monitor civil and structural construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, local codes, and industry standards.
  • Develop and support construction plans, schedules, resource allocation strategies, and execution approaches to achieve project milestones.
  • Perform daily site inspections to evaluate progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Verify installed work aligns with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements while identifying and reporting deviations or changes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and maintain efficient workflows.
  • Apply civil and structural engineering expertise to optimize construction methods, improve execution strategies, and identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements while promoting a secure and responsible work environment.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and communicate project updates, challenges, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support effective communication between project partners and encourage early identification and resolution of construction issues.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in civil and structural construction management, strong knowledge of field operations, and the ability to coordinate complex projects with multiple stakeholders. The role requires technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil/structural construction management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing civil and structural construction activities, preferably within energy, power generation, or similar industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Experience using project management tools and software for scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions in challenging field conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and best practices related to power plant operations, maintenance, and safety.
  • Willingness to work on field assignments across the southeastern United States and varying project locations.
  • Work authorization in the United States is required; sponsorship is not available for this position.
