PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE WITH FOR FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE -THINSET SWINGSHIFT (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM) in Plattsburgh, New York at SCHLUTER SYSTEMS L.P.

General Description:

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the plant, including tasks like loading, unloading, cycle counting, shipping, receiving and organizing stock.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Demonstrate daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance.
• Treat quality as a key pillar of our success by always Doing the right thing for our customers.
• Solve problems daily by working together as an engaged team member
• Help in the relief of breaks as needed
• Maintain records and documentation
• Safe Operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment
• Receiving and inspecting materials
• Loading and unloading of trucks, containers, and railcars
• Put away and retrieve material
• Packaged and shipped orders and delivery of raw materials to production
• Perform inventory counts as needed
• Maintain accurate shipping documents and receiving receipts and ensure all information is keyed into the software system
• Collects information for damaged claims and communicates those damages to Supervisor
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Experience:

• Accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Ability to perform basic calculations
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment is often preferred.
• Prior experience using an ERP or MRP system is preferred

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirement:

· This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lifting less than 10.
