QA Product & Process Technician (2nd Shift)

Location: Stanley, North Carolina
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: QA Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Product & Process Technician to support our quality assurance and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing production processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of performance and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Inspect and test products throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Perform product, process, and component failure analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Support production by troubleshooting quality-related issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze statistical data and generate quality performance reports, including Cpk, LTA, and BDK reports.
  • Process internal, supplier, and customer quality concerns, including investigation, corrective action, and follow-up.
  • Manage non-conforming materials through established quality processes.
  • Coordinate production trials for new products, components, and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Recommend improvements to manufacturing specifications, product drawings, testing methods, and acceptance standards.
  • Initiate and support Change Request Processes (CRP) related to product quality, tooling, gauges, scrap reduction, and process improvements.
  • Conduct work center audits and employee qualification assessments.
  • Train supervisors, team leaders, and production associates on quality systems and product quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Materials, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete administrative activities associated with quality systems.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred

  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
  • Completion of a Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship program with an emphasis in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SAP and quality management software systems.

  • Understanding of statistical analysis and quality measurement techniques.
  • Experience with corrective and preventive action processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence.
  • Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly to various audiences.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively across departments.
