Schedule: Monday-Friday & 8:30AM-4:30PM
As a Medical Assistant, you will support clinical operations at JASA’s geriatric mental health clinic and its satellite locations. You will serve as the operational backbone of the clinic—managing complex appointment schedules, assisting with care coordination, conducting patient check-ins, and ensuring a warm, organized environment for our clients and clinical staff.

You will balance client-facing interactions with essential clinical and administrative support to ensure the clinic runs seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Care Support: Assist clinicians in obtaining medical histories and documentation; guide patients through the completion of intake paperwork and consent forms.
Care Coordination: Partner with external healthcare providers, mental health professionals, insurance companies, and pharmacies to coordinate patient care.
Scheduling Mastery: Manage face-to-face and telehealth schedules for all clinicians across multiple satellite clinics using the electronic record-keeping system.
Client Reception & Check-In: Greet visitors warmly, verify insurance and demographic information, collect co-pays/balances, and assist patients with arranging transportation.
Administrative Operations: Respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and faxes; process medical records requests efficiently; scan, file, and perform other clerical tasks.
Office Maintenance: Order office and medical supplies, manage inventories, open/close the clinic, and ensure the waiting room and common areas remain tidy and welcoming.
Team Collaboration: Actively participate in department meetings, clinical supervision, and assigned professional development trainings.
Education & Credentials: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinic or healthcare setting.
Technical Skills: Computer proficiency required; database and Electronic Health Record (EHR) system experience is highly preferred.
Interpersonal Strengths: A pleasant, welcoming demeanor with a passion for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues.
Work Style: Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
