Job Description:
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain innovative software solutions supporting mission-critical Department of Defense systems. The ideal candidate will work within an Agile environment to develop secure, scalable applications while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Duties:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects while participating in peer code reviews.
• Contribute to software architecture, system integration, and technical documentation.
• Develop software solutions for Linux/Unix environments and support system configuration activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, testers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support Agile Scrum and DevSecOps initiatives while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience developing software using C, C++, Java, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience developing, testing, and debugging applications within Linux and/or Unix environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems, issue tracking tools, and software documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an Agile software development environment.
