Job Description

Position Title: Human Resources Manager
Responsibilities
  • Leads the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services that support business objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies, procedures, and HR best practices.
  • Assists in the development and management of the Human Resources budget and monitors departmental expenses.
  • Partners with senior leadership to support business objectives through effective human resources strategies and initiatives.
    • Evaluates existing HR policies, procedures, and programs and recommends improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and employee experience.
    • Develops and monitors HR metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Implements and manages HR programs that support employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Supports the administration of the company’s compensation programs by partnering with the appropriate internal teams on annual compensation reviews, market benchmarking, salary surveys, pay equity analyses, and wage and hour compliance.
  • Partners with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to support workforce planning, recruitment strategies, onboarding, and staffing initiatives to ensure business needs are met.
  • Oversees the performance management process by coaching managers, supporting employee development, and ensuring consistent application of performance expectations.
  • Partners with the Benefits, Payroll, and Training teams to support employee benefit administration, leave management, payroll-related employee matters, onboarding, and training initiatives while serving as the primary HR resource for employees and managers.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
  • Partners with internal leadership and outside legal counsel, as needed, on employment-related matters to minimize organizational risk.
  • Maintains current knowledge of employment laws, HR trends, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Supervises, coaches, and develops Human Resources team members, fostering a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing HR department.
  • Develops and implements initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, morale, and overall workplace culture.
  • Promotes a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment where employees feel comfortable raising concerns and leaders are equipped to address them appropriately.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with employees, leaders, government agencies, vendors, benefit providers, and other external partners.
  • Supports organizational change initiatives and drives continuous improvement efforts that enhance HR processes and the employee experience.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Work Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience.

  • Minimum of three (3) years in an HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, or comparable HR leadership role.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.

  • Experience leading employee relations, performance management, recruiting, compensation, benefits, and compliance initiatives.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
