The Commercial Excellence Analyst will support sales operations, commercial finance activities, and business intelligence initiatives by analyzing performance data, improving forecasting processes, and providing insights that drive effective business decisions.
- Support integrated business planning (IBP), booking forecasts, and demand forecasting processes by coordinating inputs, validating data, and ensuring timely updates.
- Analyze booking performance, forecast accuracy, pipeline health, conversion trends, customer performance, and key commercial indicators to support leadership decision-making.
- Serve as a commercial liaison with finance teams by supporting booking actuals, forecast reconciliation, bridge analysis, variance explanations, budgeting activities, and monthly or quarterly close processes.
- Prepare and maintain detailed booking bridge analyses that explain business movements across regions, customers, product groups, programs, markets, and opportunities.
- Partner with sales leaders, account teams, demand planning, supply chain, product management, customer care, and finance stakeholders to strengthen forecast discipline and business alignment.
- Support sales operating rhythms, including risk and opportunity reviews, demand reviews, forecast meetings, and leadership reporting with clear analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Assist with annual sales incentive planning activities, including target setting and alignment with commercial finance objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and tools through automation and AI-enabled enhancements.
- Maintain reporting documentation, process guides, calendars, data definitions, and reconciliation methods to ensure consistency and transparency across teams.
- Challenge existing practices, identify root causes, and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and commercial performance.
The ideal candidate is an analytical and business-focused professional with experience in sales operations, commercial analytics, finance, or related fields. They should be comfortable managing complex datasets, communicating insights to senior stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- 6–8 years of experience in sales operations, commercial analytics, finance, demand planning, business intelligence, or a related analytical discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, pipeline management, booking and revenue metrics, commercial finance processes, demand planning, and IBP/S&OP concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into business recommendations.
- Ability to create clear reports, presentations, and executive-level summaries for diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify process gaps, recommend solutions, and drive alignment around data accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across sales, finance, operations, and leadership teams.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to enhance reporting and operational effectiveness.
- Must meet applicable U.S. export control requirements, including eligibility under ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Competitive base salary range of $111,600 - $139,500, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
