Job Description
Orthodontic Assistant – Join Our Team!
Meyer Dana Orthodontics is looking for a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! We are a fast-paced, multi-location orthodontic practice committed to providing exceptional care and creating confident smiles.
This position plays a key role in creating an outstanding patient experience while supporting our doctors and clinical team.
Responsibilities- Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas
- Take digital X-rays, photos, and impressions/scans
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Ensure patient charts and clinical notes are completed accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
- Provide a welcoming and supportive experience for patients and families
- Dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate! )
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the orthodontic team
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined
