Operation Manager in Memphis, Tennessee at Tumi Hospitality Services

The Operations Manager plans and oversees daily staffing operations for Associates at assigned hotel properties, as well as the activities of assigned Delta Team members (Customer Support Manager and Recruiter), ensuring the achievement of operational goals and objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Hires, trains, and develops new employees.
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of Associates at assigned hotel properties, providing ongoing training and support as needed.
• Oversees and directs the work of Delta Team members, ensuring appropriate guidance, training, and performance support.
• Coordinates with hotel manager(s) to meet staffing needs and resolve personnel issues.
• Manages employee discipline and termination processes in accordance with company policies.

• Plans and organizes daily staffing schedules for Associates at assigned hotel properties.
• Collaborates with hotel management regarding open positions and partners with the Delta Team to fill roles in a timely manner.
• Ensures shift coverage for both planned and unplanned absences.
• Monitors productivity by reviewing performance metrics and activity reports.
• Partners with support departments, including Human Resources, Accounting, and IT, to ensure operational efficiency.
• Reviews, audits, and approves all Associates’ timesheets weekly in coordination with hotel management.
• Maintains and updates the active staffing list daily to ensure recruiting needs are clearly communicated to all Delta Team members, including Recruiters.
• Sources, screens, and interviews candidates for Associate-level positions.
• Generates candidate referrals through internal and external channels to maintain a strong talent pipeline and support timely hiring.
