Accountabilities
  • Gather, analyze, interpret, and synthesize underwriting, claims, financial, and employee benefits data to support client strategy and informed decision-making.
  • Evaluate underwriting information and develop analytical recommendations supporting carrier pricing, renewal negotiations, funding arrangements, and financial assessments.
  • Provide consultative insights that help clients understand healthcare risks, claims trends, benchmarking results, program performance, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with Producers and Benefits teams to provide analytical support for renewals, client presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
  • Develop clear and compelling reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, presentations, and other materials that translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Establish and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, processes, and best practices to improve consistency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Evaluate and leverage analytics, reporting, and business intelligence technologies to improve client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze performance trends, benchmarking information, financial metrics, and other relevant data to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders to align analytical work with client objectives.
  • Communicate analytical findings, assumptions, recommendations, and project updates clearly and consistently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Share expertise and provide analytical guidance to colleagues, contributing to team development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain current knowledge of underwriting methodologies, manual rating practices, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, market developments, and industry best practices.
  • Follow established analytical procedures, organizational policies, and applicable industry standards while demonstrating integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 5–7 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within employee benefits, healthcare analytics, insurance, underwriting, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of underwriting practices, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles.
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, benefits data, and data-driven financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets, identify meaningful trends and risks, and transform findings into practical recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and client-service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across consulting, sales, account management, carrier, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable contributing to analytics methodology development, reporting improvements, technology optimization, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Ability to work remotely with a dedicated, professional, distraction-free workspace.
  • Candidates residing within approximately 50 miles of a branch location may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity when business needs require it.
