Product Manager Level III

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager Level III based in Canada.

This is a senior product leadership opportunity focused on building a new financial empowerment experience for kids and families.
You will own a true 0-to-1 product journey, taking the concept from discovery and research through launch, growth, and continuous iteration.
The role combines product strategy, market research, user experience, regulatory awareness, and hands-on execution.
You will work closely with engineering, design, QA, and financial institution partners to turn customer needs into impactful product experiences.
A key focus will be creating engaging, safe, and age-appropriate tools that encourage financial literacy, savings, and healthy financial habits.
You will also help shape product direction through data, user feedback, competitive insights, and clearly defined performance metrics.
This remote-first role is ideal for an experienced fintech product leader motivated by financial education, innovation, and measurable customer impact.

Accountabilities
  • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for a kids and family financial empowerment product, from initial discovery and requirements through launch, growth, and iteration.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and opportunities within financial education and family-focused fintech.
  • Develop detailed user personas, stories, and journey maps that address the distinct needs of children, parents, and guardians while ensuring experiences remain engaging, safe, and age-appropriate.
  • Lead product ideation and feature development focused on financial engagement, savings behavior, goal-setting, financial literacy, and long-term financial empowerment.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and QA to define requirements, evaluate solutions, and ensure execution remains aligned with user and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with credit unions and other financial institution partners to understand member needs and ensure the product delivers meaningful value to both institutions and families.
  • Translate complex technical concepts and product requirements into clear, actionable plans for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, coordinating with engineering leadership to drive effective and timely execution of the product strategy.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze product performance metrics and user engagement data, using insights to guide prioritization and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure product initiatives meet applicable financial services and regulatory requirements, including considerations relevant to products serving minors.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders around product vision, priorities, milestones, and expected outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Education, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of product management experience, specifically within fintech, digital banking, financial wellness, or financial education. Candidates without relevant industry experience will not be considered.
  • Demonstrated passion for financial empowerment and financial education, ideally with experience developing products for children, families, or underserved communities.
  • Proven track record of taking products from 0-to-1 through launch, growth, and ongoing iteration.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory considerations for financial products, particularly products designed for or used by minors.
  • Significant experience conducting market research and converting customer and competitive insights into successful product strategies and features.
  • Strong ability to create detailed user stories, manage complex product portfolios, and balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with financial institutions, credit unions, or community banks is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills, with the ability to align and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong product judgment and analytical capabilities, with the ability to make informed prioritization decisions using qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Agile/Scrum experience or certification is a plus.
Benefits
  • Remote-first culture: Work remotely as part of a collaborative, fast-paced product organization.
  • Competitive compensation: Performance-oriented compensation package with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
  • Equity: Stock options in a well-funded technology startup.
  • Canadian health coverage: 100% of extended medical, dental, and vision premiums covered for employees and their families under the comprehensive Canadian plan.
  • Retirement benefits: Retirement plan with 4% company matching.
  • Paid time off: 3–5 weeks of PTO depending on tenure, plus 5 health days and 15 holidays.
  • Parental leave: 8 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents and 4 weeks for non-birthing parents.
  • End-of-year shutdown: Additional company-wide time off at the end of the year.
  • Growth environment: Opportunity to shape a new product from the ground up and make a meaningful impact on financial education and empowerment.
  • Collaborative workplace: Work alongside cross-functional teams in a mission-driven, rapidly evolving fintech environment.
