Site Reliability Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer based in the United States.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical cloud infrastructure and CI/CD environments. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will help maintain high system availability, automate operational processes, and optimize platform performance. This role combines infrastructure engineering, DevOps best practices, and cloud technologies to support complex software delivery pipelines. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen system resilience, and help reduce operational overhead through automation. The position offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, technically advanced environment supporting impactful projects. Accountabilities
  • Monitor the health, availability, and performance of production systems, proactively identifying and resolving incidents to maintain reliable operations.
  • Support the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines through ongoing maintenance and optimization.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions that streamline operational tasks, reduce manual effort, and improve deployment efficiency.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities while ensuring accurate documentation of all infrastructure changes.
  • Contribute to DevOps initiatives focused on performance optimization, operational efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including reports, development notes, knowledge base articles, and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve platform reliability, security, and continuous delivery processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in systems administration, network administration, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience working with Linux-based environments and cloud platforms, with AWS experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and related DevOps tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and secure infrastructure management.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, including an active T3 investigation or equivalent eligibility.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
