Data Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Architect based in the United States.

Accountabilities
  • Define and drive the enterprise data strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring scalable and future-ready data architecture across the organization.
  • Lead end-to-end data migration and modernization initiatives, including legacy system transformation, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures supporting both transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Develop and maintain logical and physical data models that support enterprise applications, reporting, and analytics needs.
  • Analyze existing data ecosystems and recommend modernization strategies to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Architect and optimize data integration solutions using ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and modern data processing frameworks.
  • Optimize SQL queries, database structures, stored procedures, and overall system performance in large-scale environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including business leaders, solution architects, engineers, and data teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, metadata management, master data management, data quality, and security standards.
  • Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentoring to engineering and delivery teams.
  • Review solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Data Management roles.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale data migration and modernization programs.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, including performance tuning, query optimization, and database design.
  • Extensive experience designing enterprise-grade data architectures and data models.
  • Strong background in data strategy development and enterprise data roadmap planning.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools, data pipelines, and integration frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data security, compliance, and enterprise data standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and system design skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with experience working in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Redshift, or BigQuery is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau and Agile delivery environments is a plus.
  • Relevant cloud or data architecture certifications are considered beneficial.
