Accountabilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, performance review scheduling, and offboarding activities.
  • Coordinate employment agreements, software access, equipment provisioning, payroll onboarding, and employee benefits enrollment while partnering with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update company policies, deliver policy training, and oversee compliance calendars covering employment standards, workplace safety, and employee privacy requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate company-wide initiatives, including the annual employee retreat and other key organizational events.
  • Administer employment contracts, contractor agreements, NDAs, and other legal documentation while coordinating with external legal counsel and Employer of Record (EOR) providers when required.
  • Manage intellectual property documentation, invention assignment agreements, document access controls, and corporate records to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Organize and maintain structured corporate documentation, including legal agreements and due diligence materials, using centralized document management systems.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of HR technology solutions while collaborating with leadership on operational improvements and business processes.
Requirements
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Corporate Operations, or a related generalist role, preferably within a small or growing organization.
  • Experience administering employment agreements and collaborating with external legal counsel on HR and corporate documentation.
  • Proven experience managing contracts, NDAs, corporate records, and confidential documentation with strong version control and access management practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to design efficient processes and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee, legal, and business information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting international employees or contractors, including Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements and cross-border employment practices, is an asset.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property administration within a software or technology environment is preferred.
  • Experience selecting or implementing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is considered an advantage.
  • CPHR designation, or progress toward certification, is a plus.
Benefits
  • Full-time remote position available anywhere in Canada.
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 CAD, based on experience.
  • Opportunity to build and shape the company's first dedicated People and Corporate Operations function.
  • Occasional travel for annual company retreats and key organizational events.
  • High level of ownership and direct collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the growth of an innovative and internationally expanding technology company.
  • Flexible remote work environment that values autonomy, organization, and continuous improvement.
