We are looking for an Upfit/Suspension Shop Apprentice Technician to join the team. We are looking for candidates that have mechanical ability, take pride in the quality of work they produce, are detail oriented, can follow specific directions relating to installation, have good diagnostic skills, are honest, enthusiastic about work, does the right thing and holds themselves and team members accountable.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with vehicle upfits, including installation of truck accessories and aftermarket equipment
- Install and service suspension lift kits, shocks and related components
- Perform quality control inspections after installations to ensure proper fitment and safety
- Assist technicians with brake, steering and suspension repairs
- Operate shop equipment and maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Mount and balance tires, perform wheel alignments (if applicable)
- Inspect vehicles before and after modifications to verify proper operation
- Follow manufacturer specifications and shop procedures for all installations

- Ability to lift heavy components and work in a fast paced environment
Work is performed indoors in a shop environment, standing and walking will be required for entire work shift in order to complete job duties. Pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling will be required frequently to access all parts of vehicles being worked on. Lifting as well as pushing and pulling weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds occasionally required.

Requirements:You must have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. A valid driver license and good driving record are required. Full time availability is required.
