This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle Payroll Delivery Senior Specialist based in India.
This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services.
You will coordinate work allocation, monitor production, and help ensure team performance meets defined SLAs and quality standards.
The position combines payroll expertise with team supervision, client communication, reporting, and operational planning.
You will work closely with clients, onshore teams, process leadership, HR, IT, and other internal stakeholders.
A key focus will be identifying issues, performing root-cause analysis, resolving escalations, and driving continuous improvement.

- Payroll delivery: Ensure payroll activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time, with employee payments and service deliverables meeting established SLAs and quality standards.
- Team coordination: Allocate daily work to Payroll Administrators, monitor workloads and shifts, track production, and optimize resource utilization to meet operational requirements.
- Client support: Communicate with clients and onshore teams, participate in monthly and quarterly calls, respond to queries and complaints, and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
- Performance management: Conduct regular production and feedback sessions, monitor team performance against quality, SLA, and productivity targets, identify training needs, and support one-to-one development discussions.
- Reporting and documentation: Maintain daily and weekly reports, team metrics, meeting records, skills matrices, process documentation, and other operational records, keeping the Process Manager informed of progress and risks.
- Issue and escalation management: Analyze errors and operational issues, prepare root-cause analysis, provide feedback on quality concerns, escalate significant problems appropriately, and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Resource planning: Support workforce planning, resource estimation, attendance and leave management, attrition forecasting, and onboarding or exit activities for team members.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll operations, team metrics, service quality, and efficiency while supporting transition, testing, refresher training, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure processes follow applicable payroll standards, internal procedures, ISMS requirements, quality controls, SLAs, company policies, and agreed work schedules.
- Cross-functional coordination: Work with HR, Learning & Development, IT, payroll stakeholders, and process leadership on training, recognition, employee matters, system issues, and operational requirements.
- Education: Graduate degree in any discipline or a relevant diploma.
- Payroll expertise: Strong technical knowledge of payroll processes and payroll systems, with practical experience in US/North America payroll.
- Oracle experience: Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS is mandatory.
- Team leadership: Proven supervisory or team-handling experience, with the ability to allocate work, monitor performance, provide constructive feedback, and support employee development.
- Operational skills: Experience managing production environments, SLAs, quality metrics, reporting, issue resolution, and process compliance.
- Analytical capability: Ability to analyze errors, identify root causes, monitor team metrics, and translate operational data into actionable improvements.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills, with the confidence to participate in calls, manage escalations, and collaborate across teams.
- Technology: Good PC literacy, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to work effectively with payroll and operational systems.
- Organization: Strong planning, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple operational requirements simultaneously.
