JOB SUMMARY
-
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying a magnetic field for the purpose of detecting pathology. Screens patients and visitors before entering the MRI suite to ensure patient/visitor safety. Applies principles, theories and techniques of MRI technology to produce reliable test results. Operates the MRI equipment and images to obtain a permanent record of the examination. Knowledgeable in the effects of the static magnetic field to safely scan patients. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and Medical Staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional & Technical Skills
-
One year of hospital MRI experience preferred.

Education
-
Successful completion of a program from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
-

License(s) or Certification(s)
-
Registered with the ARRT and certified in MRI and certified by the State of Indiana.

Other Skills or Requirements

Ability to perform all MRI procedures without constant supervision..

Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)
