SAP Convergent Mediation Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Convergent Mediation Developer based in India.

This is an opportunity for an experienced SAP professional to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade mediation solutions in a high-volume billing and usage-processing environment.
You will work extensively with SAP Convergent Mediation and its integration with key SAP BRIM components and external systems.
The role combines hands-on development, event processing, integration, automation, performance optimization, testing, and production support.
You will help ensure that high-volume usage and event data is accurately transformed, enriched, validated, and delivered to downstream charging and billing platforms.
Working alongside architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to complex enterprise transformation initiatives.
The position offers significant technical ownership within a remote, full-time environment and is suited to professionals who enjoy solving challenging integration and scalability problems.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, configure, enhance, and support SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) solutions, processing flows, workflows, and event-processing logic.
  • Build data transformation, enrichment, routing, filtering, aggregation, normalization, validation, and error-handling processes for high-volume usage and event data.
  • Develop solutions that identify and manage duplicate, invalid, or incomplete usage records while maintaining accurate downstream charging and billing data.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between SAP Convergent Mediation and SAP Convergent Charging (CC), SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI), SAP FI-CA, SAP S/4HANA, CRM platforms, and external network or event systems.
  • Build and support APIs, middleware integrations, file-based interfaces, and real-time event-processing solutions in collaboration with integration architects and middleware teams.
  • Analyze and optimize mediation workflows and processing engines for scalability, throughput, and reliability in high-volume transactional environments.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, resolve processing issues, support capacity planning, and implement improvements to system efficiency.
  • Develop custom scripts, automation routines, and technical enhancements, including Linux/Unix scripting, batch-processing optimization, and operational workflow automation.
  • Design and execute unit, integration, performance, and UAT testing, validating event-processing accuracy, mediation outputs, and integration functionality.
  • Troubleshoot defects and production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support deployments, maintenance, and go-live activities.
  • Monitor production environments and contribute to operational reporting, reconciliation, system monitoring, and ongoing reliability improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, mediation-flow documentation, integration diagrams, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
  • Ensure solutions follow enterprise security, development, governance, operational, audit, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with SAP BRIM architects, Convergent Charging developers, data migration teams, BASIS administrators, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical workshops, Agile delivery activities, knowledge-transfer sessions, and initiatives that improve development and production-support practices.
Requirements
  • 7–16 years of professional experience in software development, SAP technologies, integration, billing systems, or related technical environments, with relevant hands-on experience in SAP Convergent Mediation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong practical experience designing, developing, configuring, and supporting SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) solutions and event-processing flows.
  • Experience working with high-volume usage and event data, including transformation, normalization, validation, enrichment, filtering, routing, aggregation, and error handling.
  • Strong understanding of SAP BRIM and experience integrating SAP Convergent Mediation with Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, S/4HANA, CRM, and external systems.
  • Experience developing and supporting APIs, middleware, file-based interfaces, and real-time event-processing integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning, scalability, throughput optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity considerations for transactional processing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix scripting, automation, batch processing, and operational workflow optimization.
  • Experience with unit, integration, performance, and UAT testing, including defect analysis, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and support production environments through deployments, maintenance, go-live activities, monitoring, and reconciliation.
  • Strong documentation skills, with experience producing technical specifications, process documentation, integration diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Understanding of enterprise security, governance, compliance, and development standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to diagnose complex technical and integration issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and production-support teams.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, Agile, cross-functional environment and providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer to colleagues.
Benefits
  • Remote work with a full-time employment arrangement.
  • Opportunity to work on complex SAP BRIM, billing, mediation, and enterprise integration initiatives.
  • Significant exposure to high-volume event processing, system integration, automation, and performance optimization.
  • Collaboration with experienced architects, engineers, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders.
  • Opportunities to contribute to technical architecture, process improvements, and enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Professional growth through hands-on work across SAP Convergent Mediation, charging, invoicing, integration, and production operations.
  • Technical knowledge-sharing and cross-functional collaboration in a distributed work environment.
  • Compensation and additional benefits are based on the employment terms and location.
