  • Perform basic troubleshooting of technology, computer, and audiovisual equipment when needed.
  • Support outreach and marketing initiatives that increase awareness and utilization of available services.
  • Participate in cross-training and provide support across additional program areas as assigned.
  • Travel internationally, potentially up to 50% of the time and for assignments lasting as long as six months, including support at remote locations and aboard Navy ships.
  • Maintain a professional, resilient, customer-focused approach when working independently, with teams, and in high-pressure or unfamiliar environments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, behavioral science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; four years of equivalent experience may also qualify.
  • Experience delivering presentations and facilitating training for both small and large groups in person and through online platforms.
  • Experience using digital technologies to deliver virtual training and communicate with stakeholders.
  • General knowledge of Fleet and Family Support Program services and experience in at least one relevant area, such as deployment and mobilization support, ombudsman training, relocation assistance, life skills education, transition assistance, or family employment readiness.
  • Strong technical proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, databases, video conferencing, collaboration platforms, and project management software.

  • Knowledge of needs assessment tools, including surveys, as well as adult education principles and training curriculum development.
  • Understanding of military life, its unique challenges, and relevant social services and community resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging and presentations to different audiences.
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to manage challenging situations, respond to individual needs, and follow through on commitments.
  • Demonstrated time-management, organizational, self-motivation, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong professionalism and resilience, including the ability to remain composed and productive under pressure.

  • Ability to meet Navy shipboard physical requirements, including navigating onboard environments and carrying or transporting up to 25 pounds for extended periods when necessary.
  • U.S. citizenship, a valid driver’s license, passport, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required.
  • Candidates must reside in Italy or Spain and must have existing Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) status or be able to independently obtain the required status.
  • Prior experience working with Fleet and Family Support Programs is preferred.
  • A quiet workspace with a stable internet connection is required when working remotely and not traveling.
