Job Description

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Equipment Engineering Support professional.

Type: Contract
Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Engineering Support
Location: Canton, NY
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Canton, NY
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Friday
Education: Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.

Description

The Mechanical Equipment Engineering Support professional provides support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs. This position works under the supervision of engineering staff while independently executing simple projects. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams, union trades, operators, vendors, and plant contacts to address equipment repairs, improvements, and operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Collaborate daily with engineering team members, union trades, and operators to address equipment breakdowns.
  • Interact with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment and repair-related items.
  • Interpret high-level technical documentation, including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics.
  • Execute simple equipment repair and improvement projects involving a wide variety of plant equipment, including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and general facility equipment.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to apply mechanical knowledge across a wide range of applications.
  • Maintain a high level of organization.
  • US Citizenship required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical, hands-on experience.
  • Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply knowledge across a variety of equipment and applications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • US Citizenship required.

Desired Education and Experience

  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint.
