Job Description

Triosim Corporation is looking for a motivated and detail orientated Product Engineer that will be based out of our Darlington, SC location. The Product Engineer is responsible for supporting production operations through the development of engineering documentation, process improvements, and technical expertise.

This role serves as the primary technical resource for customers, suppliers, and internal teams while driving operational efficiency, standardized work practices, and optimized manufacturing workflows. The Product Engineer will create and maintain drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical Support
Create, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Serve as the technical expert and primary engineering resource for customers, suppliers, and internal production teams.
Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and manufacturing process development.
Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues, improve manufacturability, and ensure product quality.
Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into manufacturing-ready documentation.

Process Development & Standardization
Develop and maintain standard work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and process documentation.
Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP/MRP systems.
Establish and improve routing processes, labor standards, and production workflows.
Ensure documentation accuracy and revision control compliance.

Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate operational efficiency, production flow, and shop throughput to identify improvement opportunities.
Analyze manufacturing bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve productivity, quality, and delivery performance.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives, process optimization, and waste reduction activities.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
Monitor production metrics and recommend process improvements to maximize throughput and resource utilization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with production, quality, purchasing, and supply chain teams to support operational goals.
Assist with training employees on new processes, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues.
Participate in customer and supplier meetings as the engineering representative.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
Equivalent manufacturing and engineering experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
3+ years of manufacturing engineering, product engineering, or process engineering experience preferred.
Experience creating technical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, and lean principles.
Proficiency with CAD software and ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external customers and suppliers.

Preferred Skills
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
Knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and process accuracy.

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in both office and manufacturing shop environments.
Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to safely navigate manufacturing floor environments.
