This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager, Cyber Resilience based in Canada.
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive revenue growth across a portfolio of cybersecurity, continuity, and resilience solutions. You will focus on developing strategic relationships with managed service providers and other technology channel partners in the United States. The role combines consultative selling, territory development, pipeline generation, and partner enablement. You will help partners identify resilience gaps and build practical solutions that strengthen their customers’ businesses. Working closely with sales and account management teams, you will influence opportunities from discovery through close while maintaining a disciplined approach to forecasting. This is a highly autonomous, remote role suited to a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-moving technology environment.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to generate revenue growth across Cyber Resilience solutions, including security and continuity products and services.
- Champion the Cyber Resilience portfolio internally and externally, helping partners understand how security, continuity, compliance, and resilience solutions can support their go-to-market strategies.
- Own and develop a focused territory within the US channel, leveraging a strong understanding of the market and established partner relationships.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with MSPs, VARs, ITSPs, and other high-growth channel partners.
- Build trusted relationships with security, technical, compliance, and business stakeholders while collaborating with account management teams on commercial relationships.
- Lead consultative discovery, stakeholder mapping, solution positioning, pricing conversations, bundling presentations, and opportunity development.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including opportunity stages, close dates, values, forecasts, engagement activity, and next steps.
- Conduct regular account planning and pipeline reviews with account managers to align on target accounts, expansion opportunities, stalled deals, and forecast accuracy.
- Stay informed about Cyber Resilience solutions, compliance and regulatory developments, AI governance trends, and evolving partner needs.
- Travel within the United States as needed for partner meetings, events, site visits, and consultative sales engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of experience in business development, channel sales, partner development, or a related sales function, ideally within cybersecurity, cloud, continuity, or managed services.
- At least 2 years of experience working within an indirect sales model involving MSPs, VARs, ITSPs, or comparable technology channel partners.
- Demonstrated experience selling into or supporting partners across the United States; established relationships and an active US channel network are a strong advantage.
- Experience developing relationships with MSPs, VARs, ITSPs, vendors, distributors, community leaders, or ecosystem partners within the US technology channel.
- Knowledge of Cyber Resilience solutions such as endpoint protection, MDR, XDR, email security, password management, identity, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, or business continuity.
- Strong understanding of security, continuity, compliance, and resilience trends, including how MSPs deploy these solutions for SMB customers.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, FTC guidelines, HIPAA, PCI, or similar standards is an asset.
- Proven ability to generate revenue, build and manage pipeline, maintain accurate forecasts, and develop long-term partner relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and relationship-oriented approach, with the ability to establish credibility with technical, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
- Consultative mindset with strong discovery skills and the ability to understand partner business models, identify resilience gaps, and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong ownership, organization, autonomy, adaptability, and follow-through in managing multiple opportunities and territory priorities.
- Confident presentation style across partner meetings, webinars, internal meetings, and in-person events.
- Strong CRM discipline and commitment to accurate forecasting, documentation, and timely follow-up.
- Customer- and partner-first mindset, with genuine interest in emerging technologies and helping MSPs build resilient and profitable practices.
- Base salary of $71,330–$101,900 per year, depending on factors such as experience and qualifications.
