Description:

The HVAC Refrigeration Technician supports Unilode’s Part 145 Repair Station by performing technical and refrigeration maintenance on RKN and RAP containers. The role ensures all repairs and services are carried out in compliance with approved OEM maintenance data, enabling the issuance of certificates of release to service for installation on aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Technical Support

Take Ownership and Get Stuff Done, Build a Better Future

  • Perform structural and refrigeration maintenance on Unit Load Devices (ULDs) including RAP/RKN containers.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and advanced investigations on mechanical refrigeration units (AIR100 and AIR200).
  • Complete service checks and compliance verifications according to manufacturer specifications.

Training and Development

  • Liaise with Compliance and Training Manager to identify training needs and implement training programs.
  • Work with the Regional Service Network team to plan training schedules and new maintenance capability rollouts.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to repair station staff on refrigeration systems.

  • Recommend improvements to refrigeration unit repair standards to the Global Refrigeration Service Manager.

Requirements:

Skills and Experience

  • College or technical school certification in Refrigeration.
  • Licensed Refrigeration Technician or Master Craftsman.
  • Technical experience meeting State, County, or City requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with refrigeration systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and brazing techniques.
  • Aviation or regulatory experience is a plus.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex refrigeration issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
