Thayer, LLC is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Maintenance Sales Representative to join our growing team in Auburn, Maine. If you’re a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems, and earning based on your performance, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role, you’ll work directly with commercial and industrial customers to develop customized HVAC preventive maintenance agreements that improve equipment reliability, reduce operating costs, and extend system life.

What You’ll Do
• Develop new business opportunities within your assigned territory
• Build long-term relationships with commercial and industrial customers
• Conduct site visits to evaluate HVAC and mechanical systems
• Prepare maintenance proposals and present customized service solutions
• Manage quotes and sales opportunities from prospecting through closing
• Expand existing customer accounts by identifying additional service opportunities
• Follow up on leads, referrals, and existing customer needs
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and consistently achieve booking goals
• Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
• Identify repair and replacement opportunities and coordinate with internal teams
• Maintain accurate sales records, proposals, and customer documentation

What We’re Looking For
• Sales experience in HVAC, mechanical services, facilities management, construction, industrial sales, or a related field preferred
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Comfortable conducting site surveys and discussing mechanical systems with customers
• Ability to understand customer needs and develop value-based solutions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
HVAC or mechanical systems knowledge is a strong plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with proven sales ability.
