Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Program Director for the National Service Center, the Clinical Therapist conducts and thoroughly documents clinical assessments and makes appropriate referrals. Provides clinical assessments for all Pine Grove programs (both in person and/or via telehealth). Reviews clinical information with the treatment team and communicates recommendations to patients. Completes associated administrative/clerical tasks associated with tracking inquiry calls and all patient communication. Maintains orderly work area, and assists with scheduling Pine Grove’s Outpatient service line admissions. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct clinical interviews and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age specific needs, and help to provide access to the care needed. Enters patient information into an electronic medical record. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with outside agencies including other hospitals and treatment facilities, with medical staff and with patients, families and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Participates in all hospital or department meetings as assigned. Maintains confidentiality. Requires on-call time and some travel. Adheres to the policies, procedures and protocols for the department; adheres to the expectation of professional boundaries. Performs other job duties as assigned by the supervisor. |

Demonstrate the ability to collaborate clinically with staff within various roles. Demonstrate the willingness and ability to actively participate in helping achieve the objectives of the department; able to work independently as well as with a team. Demonstrate the ability to complete all required trainings and/or certifications and attend all required meetings. Demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities; able to tolerate high stress situations / mental demands and make decisions that are ethically and legally sound. Understands and demonstrates professional boundary standards. |
Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
|
A Master’s degree in a behavioral health care or nursing field is required. Computer skills, effective telephone communication skills, and customer service skills are required. |
Work Experience:
|
Two or more years of experience in health care is preferred. Behavioral health care experience is preferred. |
Certification/Licensure:
|
Pursuit of full licensure is required (LPC, P-LPC, LMFT, LMFT-A, LMSW, LCSW,); must be able to maintain licensure. If no current licensure; the applicant must be licensure eligible and able to obtain provisional licensure within 60 to 90 days. A provisional license must be maintained and the applicant must be willing to engage in the full licensure / supervision process. |
Mental Demands:

Ability to handle high stress situations and offer solutions. Must continuously write, listen and communicate well. May require travel to off site facilities such as mental health centers or Emergency Departments or hospitals. On-call time may be assigned. |
