Job Description
Position: Full-Time Budtender
Pay: $17.00/hour + tips
8-Hour Shifts | Weekends & Holidays Required
Hiring Timeline: We anticipate filling this position in mid-August 2026 as we prepare for the next phase of our Somerville transition. We encourage interested candidates to apply early, as interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
About the RoleAt Embr Dispensary, our Budtenders are more than retail associates—they are cannabis educators and brand ambassadors. As the face of our dispensary, you'll create a welcoming environment while helping customers confidently navigate our carefully curated selection of premium cannabis products.

What You'll Do- Provide exceptional customer service in a welcoming, professional, and inclusive environment.
- Educate customers on cannabis products, consumption methods, potency, effects, and responsible use.
- Make personalized product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
- Process transactions accurately while following cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) procedures.
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all Massachusetts cannabis regulations.
- Assist with inventory replenishment, merchandising, and maintaining an organized sales floor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting retail environment.
- Stay current on new products, industry trends, and product knowledge through ongoing training.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.
- Adhere to all company policies, security procedures, and state and local cannabis regulations.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License or Massachusetts State ID required.
- Ability to pass a CORI background check.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Previous cannabis retail, dispensary, or retail sales experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable handling cash and operating POS systems.
- Passion for cannabis and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply.
