We are seeking an energetic Family Physician (with OB/Gyn experience) to join our growing team of providers, providing comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services across the lifespan while delivering women's health and obstetric care within the scope of training and credentialing. The Physician diagnoses and treats acute and chronic medical conditions, provides preventive care, manages prenatal and postpartum care, and performs routine gynecologic procedures. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the physician is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to diverse and underserved populations in support of the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) mission.
Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management.
- Deliver comprehensive women's health services, including annual wellness exams, family planning, contraception management, Pap smears, STI screening and treatment, menopausal care, and other gynecologic services.
- Provide prenatal, postpartum, and obstetric care for low-risk pregnancies within the physician's scope of practice and hospital privileges.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
- Educate patients on preventive care, nutrition, chronic disease management, reproductive health, pregnancy, breastfeeding, family planning, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, behavioral health providers, pharmacists, nurses, care managers, and specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintainaccurateandtimelydocumentation in the electronic health record in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols.
- Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care while engaging patients and families in shared decision-making and interdisciplinary collaboration
What you need to succeed
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of anACGME- or AOA-accredited Family Medicine residencyaccredited residency
- Current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Texas or be able to obtain
- Experience providing prenatal care, women's health services, and obstetric care preferred.
- Experience in an FQHC, community health center, rural health clinic, or underserved setting preferred.
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Family Medicine
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred if providing obstetric services.
- Registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legallyoperateas a practitioner in the State of Texas or be able to obtain
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or similaralong withMS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word,PowerPointand Excel)
