About the Role
DexCare is looking for a Senior Front End Software Engineer, Tech Lead who will expand the efforts around the DexCare platform. If you are an experienced front-end engineer who is excited about getting in on the ground floor of a fast-growing startup with a well-established team and multiple large and respected clients, this might be the opportunity for you! As an engineer in this role, you will be a key part of building out our consumer-facing products from the ground up. You will set the technical direction for front-end architecture, define standards, and mentor engineers across the team. Candidates should be prepared to interact daily with other engineers, as well as product managers, product designers, and solution architects.
- Be a team player and successfully get buy-in from your team as well as champion the team’s front-end strategy
- Proficiency at building out highly testable, component-based UI code with strong contracts
- Proficient with front-end test automation frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library) and validating across an array of code configurations
- Drive front-end architecture decisions including design systems, performance optimization, and accessibility standards
- Comfort designing and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs, including schema design and API contract reviews
- Participate in on-call rotation
- 7 years acting as a team lead with demonstrable experience driving architectural solutions and mentoring peers
- 7 years of relevant on-the-job experience shipping enterprise web applications
- 5 years building responsive SPAs using React.js and TypeScript
- 3 years of experience with state management, build tooling (webpack, Vite, or equivalent), and front-end performance optimization
- 3 years of experience building web applications on top of Express, Koa, or equivalent Node.js middleware
- Experience building or integrating agentic AI features into front-end applications, including streaming UI patterns, tool use interactions, and surfacing outputs from large language models in production web interfaces.
- Experience influencing other teams’ roadmap and architectural designs
- Experience establishing and maintaining design systems and shared component libraries (e.g., Storybook)
- Experience using logging and metric tools such as Splunk and DataDog with focus on monitoring and improving system uptime and performance
