Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, organized, and outgoing After-School Coordinator to help support our high school after-school programs.
This position is a mix of student outreach, organization, communication, and day-to-day program coordination. A big part of the role is making sure students know what programs and opportunities are available to them, while also keeping accurate records, tracking participation, and making sure information is communicated back to our team.
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with students but is also strong with organization, follow-through, and keeping track of details.
What You'll Do- Talk with students during lunch, after school, and around campus to promote after-school programs and upcoming opportunities.
- Help with student sign-ups, recruitment, reminders, and follow-up.
- Track attendance, enrollment, student interest, and program participation.
- Keep rosters, spreadsheets, forms, and program records organized and up to date.
- Follow up with students who register but are not attending.
- Communicate program information with students, families, school staff, and our internal team.
- Create simple flyers and program announcements using Canva.
- Help distribute information through email, ParentSquare, and other school communication channels.
- Check in on programs and instructors and communicate any concerns or needs to the After-School Director.
- Support after-school events, field trips, and special activities when needed.
- Attend occasional school or program meetings.
- Dependable and consistent.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
- Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Comfortable approaching and talking with high school students.
- Able to build positive relationships with students and school staff.
- Comfortable using Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and other basic technology.
- Able to communicate clearly in person, by text, and by email.
- Able to work independently and take initiative when something needs to be done.
- Bilingual Spanish and English required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Previous experience working in a school, after-school program, youth program, or community organization.
- Experience with Canva or ParentSquare.
- College coursework or a degree in education, youth development, social work, communications, or a related field.
- Experience with STEAM, MakerSpace activities, robotics, or other enrichment programs.
Approximately 20 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Occasional evening or weekend events may be required with advance notice.
