Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer in United States.
This role sits at the core of designing, integrating, and maintaining highly available and mission-critical distributed systems supporting complex data and radar infrastructure environments. You will play a key part in ensuring system resilience, performance, and continuity across enterprise-level architectures used in regulated and high-stakes government contexts. The position involves deep technical ownership of system design, integration, and reliability engineering, with a strong focus on fault tolerance and disaster recovery. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and stakeholder teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Operating in a remote-capable environment, you will contribute to both day-to-day system stability and long-term architectural evolution. This is a high-impact engineering role where reliability, security, and uptime are essential.
- Design, document, and maintain system architecture, interface control specifications, and technical engineering documentation for complex distributed systems.
- Provide engineering support for radar and data distribution systems, including integration, performance tuning, monitoring, and system optimization.
- Conduct requirements analysis, gap analysis, and technical trade-off studies to support architectural and engineering decision-making.
- Design and implement high-availability, fault-tolerant systems with redundancy, clustering, load balancing, and automated failover capabilities.
- Support disaster recovery planning, including resilient architecture design and participation in DR testing and validation exercises.
- Ensure systems are engineered for rapid recovery, continuity, and operational stability during failures or outages.
- Perform system integration, testing, and validation, including regression, performance, and failover testing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining highly available, distributed, and mission-critical systems.
- Deep understanding of system integration, performance optimization, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Experience working with data and analytical systems in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting proposal development or technical documentation for engineering solutions.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. and have resided in the country for the past 3 years.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
- Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment.
- Remote work flexibility depending on project and operational needs.
- Opportunity to work on mission-critical systems supporting national-level infrastructure.
- Exposure to complex, large-scale distributed system architecture challenges.
- Stable, long-term technical role within a highly specialized engineering environment.
